Camp Kaitawa: We're back!

The Year 6s are back to school from a fabulous week at the epic Camp Kaitawa (still exhausted). Camp was so cool because of the beautiful views from Lou's Lookout and our tiring walk up Nga Moko.(Eight hours it took!!}We also saw a great sight of two water-falls cascading into a clear stream. The water sent chills rushing down our spines.
Luckily we had parents to help us. They were very kind to us and fun too, but our bus driver Cedric played tricks on us! He camouflaged himself into the bush and jumped in the front of some of us when we were walking down the Lou's Lookout track. He kept surprising us with his camera when we weren't expecting it! But other than that he was really fun, and an amazing wizard in the kitchen too.
In the dark spooky caves that we visited on Thursday we saw giant wetas about the size of your hand!(Did you know they are the heaviest insects?) On Friday was the worst day coming back, because we didn't want to come back, but we stopped in Wairoa to have fish and chips for lunch, which was delicious. When we saw our parents and families we were happy and glad to be back.
